AS CHIOMA GLAMOUROUSLY STEPS OUT TO LEAD NDI ANAMBRA‎‎, By Gift Erupre‎‎

‎The gubernatorial election in Anambra state is just some days away, and the African Action Congress has a candidate. A woman! Not just a woman, a brilliant Thespian that gorgeously beholds beauty and elegance. A beautiful woman with superior ideas and pro-people policies unlike the failed Governor Soludo whose governance lacks direction and so largely Anti-people.

‎Haven done her political activities such as attending media houses, grassroot sensitization, football competition e.t.c well. Fully prepared for the election, she decided to go for a photoshoot.

‎A woman had shown her courage, her strength and resilience. We choose to see a breast and nyash that is not exposed. Forgetting, a woman who covered all of her body was sexually harassed by Akpabio.

‎Instead of focusing on her manifesto, we focused on the woman because she’s a woman and how she does her things, even as an adult. We prefer a Diezani Madueke who lavish million dollars on brazziere to a clear headed Chioma with brilliant ideas for her state.

‎Capitalism cum patriarchy has demanded that we police ourselves and shun anyone who tries to dare just like Chioma. We’d rather major in the minor leaving a Professor who has done nothing as the governor of Anambra state.

‎Chioma has made a sacred pledge to tackle food insecurity, unemployment, which we’ll all agree are paramount to our living as humans in her 33-page manifesto. Not neglecting the inadequate healthcare, which affects women more. Women do not have access to a better health care center, there’s an increase in maternal mortality rate on a daily basis. Period poverty doesn’t look like something we’re ready to tackle soon except a revolutionary and visionary like Chioma emerges in leadership position. Just as we had Funmilayo Ransom Kuti, Gambo Sawaba, Margaret Ekpo and others in the past generation, we have Chioma and other great women taking charge, changing the status quo.

‎I cannot forget how Chioma Ifemedulike was leading from the front at the October 20th #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protests. Five times we were tear gassed, five times we reconvened. Chioma was there all through. A the FCT Command, Chioma stood. What the mouth-making politicians of Anambra State and the entire South East could not do, our beautiful Chioma keeps doing!

‎Ironically, on October 20th, Governor Soludo was against the freedom of Nnamdi Kanu, but Chioma Ifemedulike was at the barricade fighting for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. Beauty, brain, and brevity!!

‎It’s another day to question the reformist ideas. It’s okay to have conferences and echo women are marginalized, it’s good to shout women are sidelined socio-politically, but not enough, without a clear understanding of the idea itself. When we say we want more women in politics, we do not mean we want more Diezani, we do not want more Beta Edu. We want women who are not getting to power to continue what the evil men have been doing. We want Chioma, NdiAnambra, vote a classy beautiful future!!!

‎In solidarity!!!
