Armed Robbers Kill Two Teenagers, Injure Barber in Lagos
Two teenage boys have been shot dead and another person injured after three armed robbers attacked a barbershop in the Cele Nica community, Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The victims, identified only as Chijindu and Akorede, were killed on Saturday night, October 4, while having their hair cut at a barbershop on Abengo Close.

According to residents, the robbers arrived around 9 p.m., entered the shop, and began robbing the people inside.
A resident, Duuni Olafeso, told The Punch that the barber survived the attack, but Akorede and Chijindu died from their gunshot wounds.
“The robbers were about three,” she said. “The injured barber, who is still in the hospital, said two of them came in pretending to be customers. They ordered everyone to lie down and took their phones and money. When they asked Chijindu what he had, he said he only had ₦1,000 for his haircut. That made one of the robbers angry, and he told the others to shoot them.”
The barber said he was also shot in the back but pretended to be dead until the robbers left.
Akorede reportedly died on the spot, while Chijindu and the barber were rushed to the hospital. Sadly, Chijindu later died from his injuries.
Chijindu’s boss, Ugochukwu, who works as a solar panel installer, said the young boy was one of his apprentices.
“We returned from a job outside Lagos that morning,” Ugochukwu said. “Later in the evening, he went to the barbershop. I was at home when someone came to tell me he had been shot. I rushed to the scene and saw him and the others lying in their own blood. I took my car and drove him to the hospital, but he died around midnight.”
Ugochukwu described Chijindu as a hardworking and dedicated apprentice.
