APC Member Segun Ben-Ajayi Seeks ₦20m Public Support to Purchase Party Nomination Form



Dr. Segun Ben-Ajayi, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has appealed to supporters and members of the public to help raise ₦20 million to enable him purchase the party’s nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections.


Ben-Ajayi, who is aspiring to represent Ijebu-Ode Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, made the appeal on Wednesday through his social media handles.


In the post, the aspirant called on supporters to contribute toward his political ambition, stating that financial support would help him secure the party’s ticket to contest in the upcoming election, “I need ₦20 million to purchase my nomination form. Support me today and become a friend of an Honourable tomorrow,” he wrote.

The post was accompanied by a campaign poster bearing the slogan “Paradigm Shift 2027: New Direction, New Voice,” urging constituents to vote for him as the candidate to represent Ijebu-Ode Federal Constituency at the National Assembly under the platform of the APC.


Ben-Ajayi’s appeal comes as political activities gradually intensify across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections. According to the timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), political parties are expected to conduct their primaries between April and May 2026 to select candidates for various elective positions.


The electoral body also stated that parties must submit their candidates’ details after the primaries within the stipulated period, as only duly nominated candidates will be eligible to participate in the elections.


INEC further scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections, including seats in the House of Representatives to hold in early 2027, while campaigns are expected to commence months before the polls in line with the electoral guidelines.
