Agents of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were caught red-handed bribing electoral officials in the Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) during Saturday’s local government elections in Lagos State.
In a video that is now in circulation, the APC agents was seen distributing cash to officials at one of the polling unit.
The incident has triggered widespread anger among voters and members of the opposition, who are demanding urgent intervention from the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
Many are calling for a full-scale investigation and immediate prosecution of those involved in this electoral malpractice.
This latest scandal adds to an already troubled election marred by widespread voter apathy, allegations of vote-buying, and reports of voter suppression across several local government areas in Lagos state.
