Anthony Joshua has recorded his first knockout win in three years against Robert Helenius at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday.

Joshua, in the seventh round of the fight against Helenius, scored his first knockout win since Bulgaria’s Kubrat Puliev’s in 2020.

Helenius had stepped in on short notice after the highly anticipated rematch between British heavyweight boxer Dillian Whyte popularly known as the “The Body Snatcher” and Joshua was cancelled due to Whyte’s failed drug test one week before the fight.

Joshua is likely to fight American boxer Deontay Wilder next, following the latter’s win against Helenius in October 2022.

Commenting on an X (formerly known as Twitter) post by Joshua himself which read: “Thank you. Until next time, God bless.”
