Angry fans of Katsina United held their 0pponents, Rangers International FC of Enugu hostage after the visitors defeated them at home in matchday 1 of the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League.
Enugu Rangers defeated Katsina United 2-1 in their home ground, Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina city on Sunday to start their league campaign on a promising note.
However, after the final whistle, the irate fans blocked the stadium gates and insisted that Enugu Rangers would not leave the stadium.
The angry fans registered their anger over the defeat handed down to their team and threatened to attack the visitor’s team.
