Nigerian music sensation Adekunle Gold has joined the production team of the upcoming documentary “The Odyssey” as a co-producer.

The highly anticipated film explores the vibrant history of Yoruba music, tracing its development and impact over the past century, ultimately shaping the modern Afrobeats sound.

Working in collaboration with esteemed director Abba Makama and producers Papa Omotayo and Bobo Omotayo, as well as Tosin Ashafa, Gold will play an instrumental role in unveiling the fascinating story behind Yoruba music’s enduring influence on the global music landscape, a report revealed.
Currently in production, “The Odyssey” promises an immersive and engaging cinematic experience, featuring exclusive interviews and rare archival footage that pay homage to the legacy and creativity of Yoruba musicians throughout the ages.
