The Adekunle Ajasin University Alumni Association, Akure branch have re elected Com Alex Adeniyi as their Chairman for a second term
Recall that two years ago, com Alex emerged as the branch chairman to pilot the affairs of the association for an initial period of two years
Today in an election held at the NUJ Press Centre, Adegbemile, Akure, Com Alex Adeniyi emerged unopposed as the chairman to pilot the branch for the next two years
Other executives elected along with him are
AKINNADEJU DAVID MUYIWA as Vice Chairman
Barrister Abiodun Obademi as Secretary
Mr Fatimehin Gbenga as Publicity secretary
Barrister (Mrs) Aladetimehin Esther as Treasurer
Mr Awofusi Gbenga Micheal as Financial secretary
The elected officers were immediately sworn in to stear the ship of the association for the next two years
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman congratulate not only the elected officers but the branch as a whole, he went further to charge the new executives to be up and doing and admonish members to always attend physical meetings and participate fully in both the branch and national activities
He thanked the electoral Committee for a job well done within a space of little time and promised that the branch will witness more development and stability within the next two years
He finally appeal for the support of all and sundry to move the branch forward
The first monthly meeting of the branch to be conducted by the new set of executives have been fixed for Saturday 29th may, 2021
