2023: Consider Age, Physical Capacity, Mental Before Voting – Catholics, Northern Elders Caution Nigerians

The Catholic Laity Council, and the Northern Elders Forum have urged Nigerians to vote in the 2023 presidential elections after carefully evaluating the candidates’ ages and capacities on both a mental and physical level.

The Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, CLCN, pleaded with Nigerians to avoid sentiments and take the age and health status of candidates into consideration before voting, even though the northern elders said they would take these factors into consideration when deciding which presidential candidate to support.

It also recommended people to support the candidates whose platforms and economic plans may help Nigeria escape her current predicament.

NEF insisted that after a thorough but fruitful interrogation, its preferred candidates for the Presidency would be one with strong mental and physical capacity to govern Nigeria and address the pertinent security and economic challenges facing the nation. NEF claimed that its option of a consensus presidential candidate was still open.
