Terrorists Are In Osun, Ogun Forests -Gani Adams

The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams, has raised the alarm on the worrisome spate of insecurity in the country.

In a statement, he signed personally and made available to the media
by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Kehinde Aderemi, Adams claimed that the forests in the South-West have been infiltrated by terrorists.

He said “Now that Abuja has seemingly lost the battle to terrorists, the South-West region has been the next target of these destroyers of hope.

“But, we will never allow them to destroy our land. Therefore, we urge the six governors in the South-West states to hold an emergency security meeting with stakeholders across the region so as to address the impending implosion.

“We are aware of their plans to strike in Lagos, Ibadan, Oyo State and Abeokuta in Ogun State, however, I implore all the governors in the South-West to recruit local security service structure in their various local governments.”

Tinubu Not Qualified To Be President – Tee Mac

Veteran flutist, Tee Mac, has issued a word of advice to Nigerians regarding the choice of their next president.

In the comment section of a writer, Yemi Olakitan, on Facebook, who had declared his support for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, the flutist alleged that there was so much about the candidate that was shrouded in secrecy.

He said, “Dear Yemi. Any body can choose any candidate, but an intelligent person will ask himself the question: do I choose rightly! Is the man qualified! Is he honest! Does he tell us the truth about his age, background and how he made his money! Is this man healthy enough at 86 to take up the task of a totally run down country?”

Tee Mac also revealed that he and Tinubu were related by marriage and that he stopped relating with him due to his role in the emergence of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) in 2015.

The veteran entertainer said, “You see Tinubu is my in-law. His wife Remi is my cousin. Her Itsekiri mother and my Itsekiri mother are sisters. I have known Tinubu since the mid 80s personally and even arranged for him to stay in my stepfather’s house (Sir Mobolaji Bank-Anthony) in London when he went into exile.

“I stopped supporting him and stop family visits etc when he sold that Buhari to the nation in 2015. My advice to the nation is that this man is absolutely not qualified to become our next president. Respectfully Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli.”

As fear of insecurity grips Abuja, Reps embark on long holiday till September

The House of Representatives has adjourned till September 20th to observe its annual long holiday.

The lawmakers adjourned the House on Wednesday after the plenary.

The holiday coincides with reports of a deteriorating security situation in the Federal Capital Territory.

It would be recalled that the city has witnessed a hike in attacks as terrorists attacked Kuje Prison, setting criminals and terrorists free.

Also, the government announced the shutdown of federal government colleges in the FCT.

Speaking after the announcement of the adjournment, the Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu urged his colleagues to stay away from the capital.

“I want to beg members, Abuja is no longer safe, please, if possible, go back to your constituency. The place is so insecure,” he said.

The Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase cautioned his colleague from making such a comment, noting that it could discourage investors from coming to Nigeria.

“I believe the minority leader, maybe was putting some jokes but I do not believe that it was a joke on the security in the lives and property of the people and by the grace of God Abuja is going to be secured.

“I do not think we should scare investors who are coming into the country, I do not believe that we should scare people who could come to add value to us,” he said.

Police confirm lady who set her husband ablaze in Osun has committed suicide

The spokesperson of the Osun state police command, SP Yemisi Opalola, says Ifeoluwa Bamidele, the young lady who set her husband, Bolu, ablaze in their home in Koka village, in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State on Sunday, July 17, has committed suicide.

In a chat with LIB, SP Opalola said Ifeoluwa committed su!cide on Thursday night, July 21, at about 7pm.

The police spokesperson said efforts to reach Ifeoluwa who initially went into hiding after fleeing Osun to Ekiti state yielded results on Thursday after she was able to get a  Non-Governmental organization to mediate.

”It was when they picked her they saw she was behaving funny. They asked her what happened. They later discovered that it had been long that she took it and it had destroyed her internal organs. That was how she d!ed”Opalola said
